Citylight Family Baptism Celebration

Baptism is part of our mission. It’s a big part of who we are and what we do! Jesus was baptized Himself, and the Bible repeatedly tells followers of Jesus to be baptized. The churches in the Citylight Family value the importance of baptism so much that every year our church family hosts a Baptism Celebration! Tons of people from over 10 different churches in the Citylight Family will be baptized this year at Westfair Amphitheater in Council Bluffs, IA, on August 8th at 10 AM! Here are the details you need to know:

What Happens At The Celebration?

• Worship!

We kick off every All Citylight Baptism Celebration by first singing worship to Jesus!

• Hear a message!

Every year one of the pastors from the Citylight Family delivers us the Gospel message of Jesus saving sinners and then invites those who don’t know Jesus to start a relationship with Him.

• Hear testimonies!

The highlight of every baptism celebration is hearing the testimonies of people who Jesus has radically changed. Then we all get the honor of watching them get baptized in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit! It’s awesome!

What To Bring:

• Your family, friends, and neighbors

This is a public event to celebrate the work Jesus is doing in the lives of those who call Citylight “home.” Please invite everyone and anyone to attend this event!

• A lawn chair

We’ll be sitting in front of the amphitheater for the entire event, so bring a comfy seat!

• Sun protection

Whether it’s a hat or some sunscreen, be sure to protect yourself from the sun as it’s going to be hot and sunny. We ask that you don’t bring anything that could prevent others from seeing, such as an umbrella or a canopy.

• Money for food!

The Citylight Family Baptism Celebration will have several food trucks present for you to get lunch from! Be sure to bring cash or your card if you’re going to want some food from local vendors!

How To Be Baptized At The Celebration:

For your baptism to be part of the All Citylight Baptism Celebration, we ask that you attend a Baptism Class! Our next baptism class for 2021 will be on Sunday, July 18th, at 9:30 AM!
