Jesus said it was to our advantage that He returns to the Father because He would send us a Helper, the Holy Spirit. Who is the Holy Spirit? What does He do? And how do we partner with Him for the glory of Jesus? That’s what we’ll be talking about in this 4-week class. We invite you to join us and discover (or re-discover) the goodness of God’s Spirit.
- Sunday, February 7 @ 3 PM: The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament, Gospels, and Acts. A biblical overview of where the Spirit is mentioned and what He does.
- Sunday, February 14 @ 3 PM: The Holy Spirit in us. An in-depth look at what the Bible says the Spirit does in us and through us and why it matters to our daily lives.
- Sunday, February 21 @ 5 PM: The fruit of the Spirit. When the Spirit is working in us, how does love, joy, peace, patience, etc., become the hallmarks of our lives?
- Sunday, February 28 @ 5 PM: The gifts of the Spirit. How does the Spirit move and work among God’s church? How do you discover your spiritual gifts and put them into practice?
We recommend The Forgotten God, by Francis Chan, as a helpful introduction to the Holy Spirit. Our class will not be directly tied to the book.
